First Day At University
It was 1st of January, beginning of a new decade and mayhap new life too. Night was quite heavy on me because I was about to start new life with new people just after few hours. All night I was thinking how my day is going to be and so I slept at 4 am. And just after 3 hours I had to wake up.
Startling alarm just woke me up! Warm mattress was making difficult for me to get out of bed but excitement and a bit fret overcame my dizziness, I climbed up from my cozy blanket and scuttled towards restroom, washed my face and then brushed my teeth. Afterwards I paced to my lounge and it was when I realized that weather was parky and morning was crisp. Trilling of birds made the aura more soothing and relaxing. I changed my dress into black coat over a white shirt and a black trouser like pant. Brushed my hair and kept them open. Applied some concealer under my puffy eyes to vanish my dark circles like a magic. Hydrated my chubby cheeks with lotion and finally I was ready to attend my orientation day. Minutes passed by and my van arrived to pick me up. Sat in van and all through the journey I mused on how things are going to be.
Eventually, I entered the university. Thought of unknown to so many people was developing a weird kind of fear inside my body followed by brisk weather adding some more uneasiness as my clothes weren’t warm enough to protect me from frosty winds. It was then I heard someone calling my name and when I looked back, it was my best friend. Then I took a big sigh of relief. All students were gathered and made settled on chairs in a wide ground under an open clear-blue sky. I seated next to my best friend and that’s how my time passed so easily. Long speeches were delivered but obviously we didn’t heed much attention to them as me and my friend were busy in making fun of others and talking some shit. Then the actual time came and all students headed to their departments, obviously I was going to be no more with my best friend.
Stepped into my department and there I was instructed to sit in a library, when I walked into the library there were already so many students sitting and humming. And from there we were taken to an auditorium. The auditorium was quite big and warm, ceiling was high, two podiums in front of us and number of comfortable chairs to sit on along with desks. In front of us some professors and lecturers were seated. They introduced themselves to all students and built a very cordial environment. There I met three of the girls and a little bit conversation took place with them. I asked them to exchange numbers and when we reached out of the auditorium after completion of all professors’ introduction we exchanged each other’s numbers. After that I hanged around for my van and then finally I reached home knackered without doing much.
So my day went pretty well. And a big stress was released out of my mind. And now I am amped what my next day is going to teach me and make me experience some new stuff.
